How to Get Skin like a Haute Couture Model

It’s not a secret that models have glowing and flawless skin. But how do they manage to do it even when their job requires them to wear oodles of makeup and work under very harsh lights? We all have dreamt of knowing their secrets and achieving flawless and super shiny skin like them, so that we can flaunt our amazing skin too. In this article, I am going to reveal the secrets to achieve model like skin. If you incorporate the tips mentioned below, in your daily skin care regime you will also be able to achieve clear model-like skin.

1.  Keep your skin squeaky clean:
This is the first step to clear skin. If you don’t clear the dirt of your face, how can you expect to have glowing skin? To get rid of the effects of everyday pollution, dirt, and grime, wash your face at least twice a day with a mild cleanser. Make sure your cleanser does not contains alcohol as it will severely dry out your skin.
 2. Exfoliate:
Your skin naturally sheds the dead skin from the epidermal layer. Exfoliation just helps in speeding up the process and helping it to happen in a uniform manner. Exfoliation also helps get rid of the gunk from your pores and excess product and dead skin build up, making way for fresher and younger looking skin. You should exfoliate your skin, twice a week but not more than that, as over exfoliation strips the skin of its natural oils, making it easily irritable and sensitive. You can use a ready made exfoliating creams or gels available in the market, or make one at home with rice powder and yogurt. You can also try clay masks, which exfoliate the skin without the scrubbing (but this takes a bit longer to show results).

3. Drink plenty of water:
The majority of our body is made of water, and when we are dehydrated, it shows clearly on our skin. Our skin tends to look taut and parched as it experiences a lack of internal moisturization. Dehydration also makes our skin less supple. To combat these negative effects of dehydration, it is recommended that you consume at least 8-10 glasses of water a day.

 4. Be a mindful eater:
If you stuff junk into your mouth, it will invariably show up on your skin. It is quite obvious that if you follow a healthy diet and provide your body with all the necessary vitamins and minerals, it will make everything in your body better, including your skin. The best vitamins for skin are Vitamins A, B, C, and E, so make sure you are getting plenty of these. Make healthy eating choices, and watch your skin transform for the better.
5. Exercise:
Exercising increases blood circulation and also helps get rid of the toxins and debris stuck in our pores through perspiration.  Incorporate at least a half an hour exercise routine in your daily workout, and your skin as well as your body will thank you. Just be sure to take a shower afterwards to get rid of the perspiration.

6. Try to limit sun exposure as much as possible:
Direct sunlight is absolutely awful for your skin, as it can cause dis-colorization, tanning, and even cancer. It also dries out the skin to give it a leather-like appearance. The best way to avoid skin damage is to avoid the skin sunlight as much as possible. However since it is not possible to stay at home the whole day, remember to liberally slather on some sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher at least 15 minutes before you leave the house. You should also wear long sleeved protective clothing before stepping out.

7. Get enough Sleep:
Your body repairs itself when you sleep. So if you don’t get the required 7-8 hours of required shut eye, your body doesn’t get enough time to heal itself. This shows up on your skin, especially on your face as dark circles, puffy eyes, and sallow skin. Therefore try and get enough rest, and before going to bed, take off all your makeup, cleanse your face thoroughly, moisturize, and apply a good eye cream.
